Admissions

All courses are open to all persons whether or not they are licensed real estate agents in Washington State, with no prerequisites, unless noted in the course description.. Howard Hegwer Seminars will not deny admission or base fees and standards a student's race, color, sex, religion, national origin, handicap, familial status, age, political affiliation or sexual orientation and will operate in compliance with all local, state and federal anti-discrimination laws. Once a student pre-registers for the course and receives a confirmation of the date and the time and the location of the course, the student is fully registered to the course subject to all other course requirements as described in this policy statement and the course materials.

 

Dismissal / Attendance / Makeup / Tardiness

Students must attend the full course to qualify for clock hour credits. Students arriving after the start of the class will not be admitted and will be referred to a future class, as defined by our refund policy. If a student arrives for the course, but must leave prior to the conclusion of a course, that student may take the same class again at no additional charge, within 3 months of the originally scheduled course. The student must contact Howard Hegwer Seminars to register for another course, prior to the close of registration for the course they wish to attend.

Instructors, administrators or a consultants hired on behalf of Howard Hegwer Seminars may preclude or dismiss a student from the classroom if the student may affect or is affecting the integrity of the learning environment.  Conditions for readmission are based on the mutual agreement of the instructor, student and the school administrator

 

Fees

Tuition for each course shall be defined in the course materials.

Payment may be made in advance or at the time of instruction. Prepayment may be made in the form of credit card, check, cash, money order, cashiers check etc. Payment at the time of instruction may be made in cash or by credit card. Personal check will be accepted, but the certificate of completion will be held pending the clearance of the check through the bank.

Refund policy

Students canceling a pre-paid registration will receive a full refund, minus a $25 processing fee if they notify Howard Hegwer Seminars at least one week prior to the scheduled course. Students canceling a registration less than 1 week prior to the beginning of the scheduled course will receive a credit in the amount paid, to apply towards tuition in another Howard Hegwer Seminars course within 12 months. Requests for refunds must be made no later than 1 week prior to the scheduled start of the class the student is unable to attend. Requests for credits must be made no later than 2 days before the scheduled start of a the class the student is unable to attend. The request may be made online at www.hegwerseminars.com, via email sent to registration@hegwerseminars.com or by mail and must include the student’s name, company name, business and home address, phone number, and email address. To use the credit, student’s must contact Howard Hegwer Seminars to register for another course, prior to the close of registration for the course they wish to attend.

 

If in the unlikely event that Howard Hegwer Seminars must cancel a course, students will receive a full refund within 30 days of the cancellation notification.

 

Measuring Progress

For courses requiring a final test for completion, the passing qualification for that course shall be described in the course outline. For courses not requiring a final examination, the student must be present and participate in the delivery of instruction in order to qualify for a certificate of completion.

 

Certificates of Completion and Record Retention

Certificates of completion will be handed to the student after payment of the tuition and at the completion of the course.  Students will be required to sign in at the beginning of class and sign out at the end of class and the distributed certificates will be logged in on the sign in/sign out registration sheet. Howard Hegwer Seminars will maintain student attendance records for 5 years as required by the State of Washington.  Any student leaving class early will not receive a certificate of completion. 

 

Re-issued Certificate Fee 

In order to reissue a certificate and verify a student’s attendance in a past class, the student must make a written request, including full name, name date and location of the course of instruction, company or brokerage they worked for at the time, address, phone and email. Requests for re-issued certificates can be made by mail or online at http://www.hegwerseminars.com.   A service charge of $25 is required to process and re-issue any certificate. The payment must be received prior to the certificate being re-issued. The reissued certificates will be mailed via the U.S. mail, within 30 days of the date of receipt of the written request.
